A man has been left red-faced after a*cide**ally posing for a bondage bed advert that has gone viral on Facebook. John Lower, 39, from Wallasey, Merseyside, agreed to put together the £700 ‘sto*ks’ bed in the garden for his sister-in-law, Tracy McLaughlin, 53, so that she could post an advert to sell it online on behalf of her son Marc, 33.
The style of bed, which resemb-les a medieval stocks, is available from conventional retailers, but could of course appeal to those with rac**r tastes in the bedroom. After duping John into being locked down in a compro-mising position, Tracy snatched a few photos and used them to advertise all of the bed’s facilities.
The post soon went viral, racking up thousands of shares, with Tracy receiving calls from interested buyers all over the globe.
John, a machine technician, who has been labelled ‘the deviant’ by his colleges, said he did not even know he was posing for a photo. He said: ‘I was helping to build the bed and stu-pidly thought I’d have a go for a laugh but then they locked me in.
‘I didn’t even know the photos had been taken until they were all over Facebook. ‘At first I was mortified, people were coming up to me in work and saying all so-rts. I’ve got a new nickname now, they all call me “the de*iant”.’
But John hasn’t taken the situation too seriously, adding that he’s always been able to ‘laugh at himself’ and has seen ‘the funny side’.
Tracy, who is a carer, decided to sell the bed, which her son originally bought for £1,850, because they couldn’t find anywhere to keep it. Since the post went up four days ago, the family have been fl**ded with phone calls from interested buyers.
She has even gotten offers from people in France and Spain, and someone in Bristol even asked if she’d deliver the bed. Tracy said she thinks people ‘were sho*ked’ to see the bed posted online, but said it was ‘just like selling any other bi! of furniture’.
She added: ‘We’re a very open family but I have been explaining to my friends that it’s not my bed.
‘We’ve all been absolutely dy*g with laughter since it went viral, John is quite gullible, bless him, but he’s definitely seen the funny side.’
