Rita Ora Apologized For Hosting Lavish Birthday Party At London Restaurant With Two Dozen People Gathering – VIDEO

Rita Ora has issued an apology for bre-aking Covid-19 regulations as she threw a party for her 30th birthday. The singer celebrated with 30 pals and has since spoken out to apologize, saying she feels ’embarra-ssed’.

LADbible understands the 30-year-old has volunteered to pay a f!ne (of an unknown amount), although no such pen-alty has yet been imp-osed.

In her statement, which was shared on her Instagram story, she wrote: “Hello all, I attended a small gathering with some friends to celebrate my 30th birthday. It was a spur of the moment decision made with the misguided view that we were coming out of lockdown and this would be OK!

“I’m deeply sorry for bre-aking the rules and in turn understand that this puts people at r!sk. This was a serious and inexcusable error of judgment. Given the restr!ctions, I realize how irresponsible these actions were and I take full responsibility.

“I feel particularly embarra-ssed knowing first-hand how hard people have worked to combat this te-rrible il-lness and being fully aware of the sacrifices that people and businesses have made to help keep us all safe. Even though this won’t make it right, I want to sincerely apologize.”

London’s Metropolitan Police confirmed officers went to the Casa Cruz restaurant after a report about a potential breach of Covid lockdown regulations. The current regulations in England (in place until 2 December) mean that you can only meet one other person outside, with pubs and restaurants currently closed.

You also shouldn’t be with people from outside your house or support bubble indoors. The BBC reports that Kensington and Chelsea Council, which is responsible for issuing Covid f!nes aga!nst businesses in the area, says it is still investigating what happened at Casa Cruz.

People on social media haven’t taken well to the news – one person wrote: “My father is seriously il-l in hospital.I cannot travel to visit him because of lockdown rules. Why on Earth do you think you are above the law?”

Another added: “I hope AT RitaOra and friends keep themselves away from the #NHS over the next few weeks, the staff deserve better. They should all be made to isolate for the next 14 days. Lots of us have spent milestone birthdays at home.” A third wrote: “I turned 30 this year during lockdown to Rita, do you know what I did? I spent the day on my own in my apartment, not seeing a soul. Sha-meful behavior from you.”
