A tech expert estimated to have had £15,000 worth of cosmetic filler in a quest to ‘look like Barbie’, has found that his chosen image hasn’t proven too great for his love life.
Twenty-six-year-old Honza Šimša, who hails from the Czech Republic, had his first bout of filler inje-cted into his face in 2017, and now has 20 lots of filler on his lips – 90ml of filler on his face in total, which he inje-cts monthly.
Šimša identifies as a man, dressing for work in a more typically ‘masculine’ fashion, and is se*ually attracted to women. In his spa-re time, though, he prefers to adopt a feminine appearance – acce-ntuated by huge false lashes, towering heels, and colorful wigs.
“I’m attracted to women, but some girls do have a problem with my look, as it can be confusing for them,” Šimša said. “I am single right now, and perfectly fine with that.
“I like the girls I date to have the same look – the plastic Barbie-doll look. I still liked myself when I looked more typically masculine, but I am even happier now and would still like to have more su*gery.”
Having idolized people like glamour model Candy Charms, Šimša eventually took the plu-nge and made the move towards his own Barbie doll look. A friend qualified to administer filler inje-ctions has provided some of his cosmetic su-rgery for free – Honza estimates that he would’ve paid £15,000 by now otherwise.
Some of his most expensive procedures have included a trip to Slovakia for a €3000 (£2,2) lip lift operation. He explained: “I had wanted the procedure for a while, as it makes lips look much bigger than if you were just to have filler.”It took me some time to find the right su-rgeon. I spoke with several and many thought that what I wanted wasn’t possible.
“Then, I found a doctor in Slovakia who was able to help. During the procedure, he cut the skin around my top lip and pu-lled it about 9mm higher up my face.”The recovery was tough, but I was really pleased with the results.”Šimša admits that he has attracted sta-res and bad comments during his transformation.
He explained: “Some people still have very old-fashioned attitudes and because I looked like a guy, but have big lips and wear make up, I would get a lot of attention – which was not always positive.”I know my look is extreme and, because I have had problems with jobs in the past because of it. Now when I go to work, I look masculine, wear manly clothes and no makeup.”
However Šimša has also gained a lot of popularity for promoting his look, with more than 5000 Instagram followers and his own brand – Oye Your Space – that specializes in lashes and Barbie-style clothing, for other would-be dolls.Speaking about his future plans, Šimša said: “I’m not done yet. I want a new nose and I also want to get back impla-nts, to make my body look more S-shaped – almost as if it has been PhotoShopped.”I try to ign-ore the people who are neg-ative to me. People judge what they see on the surface – but they don’t know me as a person.”Yes, I am a guy that looks like Barbie, but that doesn’t mean people should be n*sty. Being different should be celebrated, not judged.”
